So you want to reward illegal acts by granting them the privilege to stay and work in the US ahead of millions of others who waited and are still waiting? You will just be encouraging more to come illegally for the next amnesty. Either we enforce our laws and our borders or we open them up to everyone equally, and not just reward the lawbreakers.

How many are you willing to let stay hear? In the 1986 IRCA they thought there would be less than a million applicants for amnesty when all was said and done about 3 million were granted amnesty, about 60% or more were fraudulently obtained, there was almost no checking of applications just rubber stamping. That is why we are in this mess.

Why should those who broke the law be given what they want? If someone breaks into a bank and robs it do you let them keep the money? (they earned it right?)

Its really simple, give them all 6 months to leave voluntarily or prosecute them. Our goodness and compassion have been abused and our laws must be enforced. We are not helping the countries these people came from, they need to return to their countries and change their own governments and work situations. The US is broke and we can't pay for the social benefits for these people, Americans should come first. Our standard of living is dropping and our taxes are going up. If you want to help them out, start a voluntary charity to help them relocate out of the US and give them money, I don't care to do so with tax dollars. As for their kids born here, they should not be citizens and should not profit from the crimes of their parents. Its like me robbing a bank, giving you some of the money and when caught you get to keep it. Is that just or fair? only in lalala liberal land.

You want them to be able to stay without becoming citizens and voting, how long do you think it will be before the courts change that?

We need to take back our country now, and more unskilled uneducated entitlement persons who refuse to assimilate won't help but only hinder our efforts. How many of these people studied the Constitution or US history? Whose side will they be on, the Constitutionalists and those who stand for law and order or those that don't support the Constitution and law and order?

We could start with getting the usurper out of the White House and show the world we have a valid Constitution that is Enforced.

Start there and it is not amnesty.

Tell that to the millions of people wnating to just come here and work, that if they get in illegally they can stay without benefits other than ability to work. How many will quit waiting for visas and cross illegally? It is amnesty. They get to stay in work, this back of the line crap means back of the line IN THE US AND WORKING while those outside waiting legally still have to wait outside. Would you like to wait ten years to legally immigrate a family member to see an illegal jump the border and get the right to stay here permanently while you are still waiting? You are sending the wrong message. How about compassion for those following the laws, where is that at?

We did it all the time. No reason lawyers can’t learn to work as well.

Realistically and logistically, how are we going to deport 12+ million illegal aliens?

Stop this leftist bull shit, and Communist talking points....

How many times do you need to be told?

Ya do it as ya go along...Several thousand a day across this country will do just fine.

Every time one is arrested, every time they are involved in a collision, every time they apply for anything, and every time they apply for work...Just do it.

IN ADDITION*******

You implement real immigrations reforms and go after the criminal employers that knowlingly hire millions of them...You prosecute them, fine them, seize their assets and businesses, and jail them....

You have been told this a million times...This is not a difficult concept

Sheesh!

Yes I do but I already said most would self-deport if they saw we really meant business. And it is 25 million, not 12 million. That 12 million number has been used since 1996.

Merely deporting them without jail time and/or fines first is amnesty.

“What do you do with the kid in school, the honors kid, who was brought here illegally when his parents crossed the border with him as a baby? What do you do with the businessman who employs a hundred local residents, but who, himself, is here illegally?

Maybe we could have some type of limited amnesty, but the standards would have to be extremely high:

Self-reporting/guilty plea (not after being caught)
Mastery of English (test)
Steady history of employment (10 yrs?) (minimum income)
Paying taxes (No EIC or 0 tax)
no criminal record (apart from the illegal immigration)
lengthy probation
Hefty fine and/or fee ($50K?) which is not refundable if probation is violated, resulting in deportation.
No large debt defaults/write-offs (especially medical)

That’s a start.

As for the kids, we treat the parents in accordance with the above. Maybe we allow kids to stay under certain conditions. (Grades, legal, age upon entry, etc.) Under a certain age, they go with parents regardless. If they came here at age 3, graduated high school, no convictions, mastered English, then maybe something can be done.

For the kid. If he wants to see mama, he can take a vacation. I have a hard time seeing the kid as a criminal for coming across the border at age 3. That doesn’t apply to mama.

What they and, apparently, thousands of others are doing is so obvious to even the most casual observer that I find it impossible to believe that the requisite authorities are unaware of it. It is going on in such and obvious and open way that every person involved would have to be either complicit or a total idiot. I don’t believe for a moment that they are idiots. As for reporting this individual case, to whom would I report it? I live in Florida and have no clue which programs he’s involved in.

Further, I was taken in to his home and treated as an honored guest. Is this how I would repay gracious generosity? No.

Does what I witnessed bother me? You betcha. But, it is something the Californians have brought upon themselves and they’re obviously willing to live with it. Like alcoholism, they will not see the light and change until they have hit rock bottom and find themselves figuratively in the gutter. Then, they will either make up their minds to change, or they will go bankrupt and die as a state.

I only hope that the rest of the taxpayers don’t end up bailing them out because they are too big to fail.
