I zoomed out a little on the sattelite view and it looks like another sinkhole pond two blocks south.
You’re probably right. I wouldn’t be surprised if a large number of FL ponds and lakes started life as a sinkhole. We get at least one or two a year that are big enough to make the news.
A few years ago there was a large lake west of Orlando where a sinkhole actually opened up under the lake. Drained the whole thing.
