Interestingly, there’s somewhat of a trend toward returning to 50’s era kinds of values, where Papa is the real head of household and actually wears his hat as provider and protector, and Mama is in charge of the house, the children, and everything domestic.
I’ve read quite a lot of commentary by women over the last few years where they’ve discussed that very thing. Seems that a lot of women are sick to death of perpetually adolescent men and simps who can’t do their basic job. I think there’s no doubt that there’s a move toward more traditional lifestyles occurring in the country.
I don’t think anyone wants to see women be degraded and suppressed in our culture as they once were, but a return to timeless family roles and models is healthy, in my opinion.
The thing is, it's worse now. Women were treated with respect in public pre-Roe. I remember! Men everywhere were kind and paid attention to any woman. All men would open doors, put air in her tires, carry packages, etc. It was a lot of fun.
