My grandson (now in college)and I would laugh ourselves silly over Calvin and Hobbs....the funniest little books ever! And so clever.
I have given all my books to my oldest - he is 8 - and he will be quietly reading them and it is one of his favorite pastimes.
I encourage it because he could be trying to read much worse...
