I am with you on this, the gov is just sat around with a boot up their A—, BamBam never lets something he can use to get past him, thus, reason to shut down drilling in the Gulf. 1000’s of jobs are going to be lost.

Blame? lots to go around but there is nothing we can do to keep the govt shutting us down. Got to keep his ‘buds’ happy ya know.

I can tell you, the ones of us who live on the Gulf Coast are sick, sick as can be with no hopes being available to us, except surrender to the government.

Right with the bp, but I really doubt there has been a president that could have kept it from reaching land.

Who’s to Blame for Not Stopping Oil Spill? (Freep this poll)

I’m amazed it’s almost 2 to 1, in favor of blaming the guvmint.

In an industry with guvmint regulation (Mineral Management Service)
that did inspection and gave their blessing to the Deepwater Horizon
as well as awards...
the guvmint has to bear a fair chunk of responsibility.

This episode goes along with the old saying of “who shall guard
the guardians?”.

BP was the “but for” actor in this tragedy...but Obama and Co. almost
appear to hoped to amplify the disaster by sitting back.
And letting it envelope states that generally have Republican/conservative
sensibilities, e.g., TX, LA, MS, Alabama and to an extent, FL.
Put plenty of folks out of job with a moratorium and get them on
the guvmint dole.
For Obama and Co., what’s not to like about this situation?

Having to give any NBC entity a “hit” goes against my grain.

and if Katrina was Bush’s fault for telling people to get out of harms way then its double for obama on shore damage since he is in charge of delays.

How would the states pay for it, or who would the states charge?

I never considered Katrina to be Bush’s fault.
