Steele should step down. His only qualification is that he's Black. Too many Americans (RINOS!) support someone simply because they are Black. (Obama, Condoleezza Rice, Colin Powell...the list goes on!).
Diversity is what is ruining this country!
The GOP should replace Steele with the White guy from South Carolina that he defeated.

It’s about time. I never liked the man, he’s like an undercover Obama supporter imbeded in the Republican Party.
I think a lot of his thinking and comments are bent on race rather than the Republic.

The GOP ‘big tent’ does not know it has become little more than a TARP.

Why do we have a Obama voter as chairman?

I can think of no one more qualified for the job than the following:
So it might be short-term, if she has 2012 plans? So what. She's shown she can strongly fundraise and endorse candidates for the win at the primary level. This gives her a chance to show political moxie at the general election level, as well as burnish up her resume.

I agree, although she’ll have to take a pay cut!
I think Liz Cheney would do a kick-ass job also.
Why is it conservative women have the cashews that the Republican men don’t have right now?

Steele should step because he is a RINO dud not because he doubts Obama’s “leadership” in Afghanistan.

Steele’s term ends at the end of the year, making stupid remarks is not sufficient reason to go through a leadership fight in the middle of an election year.

Because in these past few decades when men assert themselves they are told that they are mean, uncompassionate, harsh, etc and told to “tone it down”, by women who are in positions of power, and the sissy men who get the promotions the assertive men should have gotten.

By the way, as an asside (spelling meant), how did he do in his book deal? I wasn’t keeping track. But I thought others would.
Thank you.

Kathryn Jean Lopez at NRO has weighed in:
Hire Palin
This is so transparent. Mittens wants her out of the picture for 2012. Bad.

Just what I was suspecting, the Cheneys call for Steele to resign, then GOProud calls for Steele to resign, and now we have this amazingly surprising idea.....NOT

Yeah, this "push Palin into the job" nonsense is getting spread all over the web in a real hurry this evening. I've already put out a few fires at PalinTV and on several FB Fan pages.
Going to the good ol' boy RNC would be yet another trap for Sarah, effectively chaining her to the establishment, and crippling her ability to operate independently, at which she excels and thrives. Plus, she'd have to move to Washington, DC full time, something I seriously doubt she would even consider doing for a hack job such as this.

Who didn’t see this coming?

Ya hoo...I just came on to this at the top of the news! Do you think there's a chance he'll get canned? I know there's alot of anguish about him but do you think he'll actually resign?
