Yep. Propaganda is such that people don’t realize that the most effective civil rights heroes (other that Eleanor Roosevelt) were all republicans. They also forget the history of the Democrats as the pro-slavery party, and the Rupublicans’ origins as an anti-slavery faction of the Whigs. Black voters were almost 100% republican until Hoover pooched the response to the Mississippi floods.
