LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Zsa Zsa Gabor's publicist says the 93-year-old actress is hospitalized in critical condition after surgery to replace her right hip.

Publicist John Blanchette says he spoke to Gabor's husband on Thursday and was told she was not doing well in the wake of her weekend surgery.

I love Green Acres. The first, best and only existential TV sit-com ever.

I really like Eddie Albert. He did a great slow burn.

Sounds like you’ve given this some thought. What was Arnold Ziffel all about?

Careful, she’ll slap the cop off your face.

I think, clearly, Ziffel personified Kafka’s (and Camus’) struggle with the absurd. My favorite, though, was Mr. Haney, and his exploration of Simone de Beauvoir’s themes of ambiguity, freedom and responsibility (or lack thereof.) I loved Eddie Albert.

Owwwie! I have one six weeks old, I'm surprised a 93-year-old would do it. A hip replacement is still major surgery.

I just never recall seeing any of her movies. I always thought of her more as a celebrity than an actress (altho she clearly was an actress). :)

The awesome thing is, it’s STILL funny. Had silliness, but also subtle humor. I also loved the original Get Smart.

I’m beginning to think I wasn’t smart enough to watch Green Acres! (however I can sing the theme song for you!) ;)

Yep. I was the same way about Arlene Francis - never realized she did anything before “What’s My Line”. :-)

Yes, you know, I discovered some old movies with Red Skelton awhile back. I had no idea he did anything before his TV show.

We all are on the train to Geezerville’.

Better than the only alternative, is it not?

Of some do better than others. I just heard from my physical therapist of a local doctor that treats nursing home patients. He's 85 and older than many of his patients. Apparently still going strong.

He's older than my Mom, who is not in a home, but maybe should be in at least assisted living. But try telling her that.

Green Acres was one of the funniest shows to ever grace television. It was nothing less than comedic genius.

I have been looking for a good picture of the pig but I can’t find one. My problem is I did not see Green Acres as it ran, originally, only in reruns, and the commercials are inserted at different, sometimes awkward, times. Was that the bar in Hootersville, or just Hooters?

I didn’t think they even did surgery on 93 year olds, the odds of survival at that age must be pretty slim.

I agree. And it was slyly funny. There was slapstick, but there was a lot going on underneath, as well, that was too funny. I loved it when Lisa would attempt to cook.

If you get to 93 you will probably change your thoughts on that thinking.....
