It is rather sickening to see so many freepers call the nations capitol some of the names I’ve read here. How about us conservatives who live here? You can call the various governmental scoudrals who work here all those names, not the city. It is a beautiful city.
BTW, the nickname is NCR: National Capitol Region..takes in NoVA and southern Maryland as well as DC.

I wonder how much money it cost us when they decided to change the name to "New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission". There is NO REASON for it to have changed, everyone still calls it "The DMV".Well you have to remember how New Jersey operates. Some state senator probably had a nephew in the sign business and another one probably had a niece in the stationary business, and when they changed the name their companies probably got the contract to change out all the signs and stationary in every DMV office in New Jersey.
