This is a Catholic college run by the Sisters of Mercy .. One of my Alma- maters . I had not heard this story locally , and I am surprised..

There are plenty of bad faculty out there that deservedly get the heave-ho, despite cries of racism, sexual harassment, politics, and what have you. Including conspiracy theories.

This sounds like one of the latter. Granted, one that should be easy to support or disprove. That is, how many influential faculty and administration around him are not married? It would be very odd if his whole department are single.

And of these, how many are openly homosexual?

In any event, Occam’s razor suggests that he, not they, are the problem
