Another week gone by, another vacation for the one. It makes me wonder if he knows he will be president for one term and he must cram as much vacation time in at the taxpayers' expense.

Three Irishman walk into a bar... it could happen!
It was Friday afternoon and the teacher was finishing up the day with her second graders. She told them that she was going to give out some presidential quotes, and those students who could answer them could go home early.
Her first quote was, "We have nothing to fear but fear itself." Little Johnny's hand shot up right away. He was frantically waving it, but the teacher looked past Johnny and chose little Mary. "Mary... who gave that familiar quote?" Mary stood up and said, "Franklin Delano Roosevelt!" The teacher told Mary she was correct, and gave her hug and sent her on her way.
The teacher next turned to the students and said, "Who said this quote?... 'Mr. Gorbachav... tear down this wall!'"
Again little Johnny frantically waved both hands in front of the teacher, and the teacher looked past Johnny and saw Susie.
"Susie... what great President said that familiar quote?" Little Susie stood up and proudly beamed, "Ronald Reagan!" The teacher gave Susie a hug and walked her toward the door. As she was walking Susie out, the teacher heard a voice come from the class, "I wish someone would tell these girls to shut up!"
The teacher turned sternly back to the class and screamed, "I want to know who said that?!"
Little Johnny stood up and shouted, "Bill Clinton... have a nice weekend!" and walked out the door!

Chickens active this morning, roosters putting up a howl, chickens clucking away, my ‘adopted cats from the big house’, a total different post belive me, running round and round the shack, over the bed, into the shower, up on the kitchen counter.
5 years ago Katrina hit us HARD. we didn't get all that much damage her on our ‘place’ but got to admit, we did get lots of firewood. lost some pecan and oak trees so, we burn the wood, still. I am looking at an additional 5 acres located on the back of our property and will take some time to clean it up, overgrown with plenty of trees.
Off for another cup, hoping all have the kind of day YOU want to have.

I see NBC is already calling the Glenn Beck gathering, "controversial". What is it with the left? Anything that focuses on God and country is taboo, but murderous Islam fanatics are not?

Carolyn is doing very well in the DR.
Last weekend she climbed a cliff with other teachers, and swam in a beautiful lagoon, with a cascading waterfall behind them and a beautiful panoramic view of the ocean.
Wow!
She has her class all set. She's delighted because one of the students who cannot speak English very well does speak fluent French! Right up her alley.
It's going to be another hot one down here today. The three HHHs, hazy, hot and humid.

Promise kept? Nearly snorted my coffee through my nose on that one. Promise kept? Does he know the meaning of promise?
Pecan wood burns long and hot, not much smell, don’t have anything like that down here that you mentioned.
