Islam outlaws all the things that allow Bloomberg to tolerate it Diana West...I've been meaning to write this for awhile, but I think everyone here understands it anyway.
West, McCarthy and so forth are right. Bloomberg, etc are wrong, and if they win the argument the consequences will be devastating to our country.
But Islamic history was a significant part of my university history major, and from its inception, that whole movement was flawed & tainted with violence and intolerance and a cruel, distorted relationship between "Allah" and man.
There were variations depending on the country, and different sects with their own founders were established, but at crucial moments when Islam interacted with the West and its path toward modernity, Islam retreated to its earliest ideas...so here we are.
And let me further add, and this is very important: in contrast to Islam, reason and liberty are inherent to the Judeo-Christian faith....from Abraham's first contact with God...we've been on a different path, and while we have our own problems and faults, we are NOT The Problem....unless we allow ourselves to be persuaded that we ARE. We must not let that happen.
