GOOD MORNING, KIND LADY, another day to face, another day to play with the boys and ALLIE was elected to VP of the sophmore grade, proud of her, has her head on right, a goal set in life.

This is unamerican, should be a law on the books but I do hace some oatmeal so will make it. Out of grits, I should be waterboarded getting like this.

Set to open Sept. 13, the school boasts an auditorium whose starry ceiling and garish entrance are modeled after the old Cocoanut Grove nightclub and a library whose round, vaulted ceilings and cavernous center resemble the ballroom where Kennedy made his last speech.

All essential for a good education. /s

I want to cut the grass today but the kids won’t let me, have been under the weather lately and to tell you the truth, D does not trust me. She mother hens me to the enth degree, thankfully, but got to admit, I kind of use this when I don’t want to do something, a secret of course....

Murray considered missions to be "the chief end of the church." I don't quite agree. I think that the chief end of man and, therefore the church, is to "glorify God and enjoy Him forever," but in so doing missions is accomplished.

Good morning! I thought I would stop by and say hello.

Max has a new job working for another mining company in Ghana. He is the general manager of a gold mine, which is very interesting work but also keeps him busy.

I am going to meet him in London in October. He has the yearly company meeting there, since the company owns mines all over the world. I have been busy trying to find some suitable clothes, but it’s been slow going as so many of the things out now are totally unsuitable for anyone over 40 OR are as ugly as sin.

Grandson was elected captain of his middle school soccer team. (He’s in 8th grade, can you believe it?)

We are enjoying cool weather this weekend, but have had no rain for the entire month of August. The garden is a disaster, and my lawn looks like Algeria or something.

Off to make potato salad for family get-together.
