Well, first of all, you have no idea what I’ve experienced.

Don't talk to me in generalities. Have you ever had a family member die of a malignant brain tumor, like a fast-growing glioblastoma?

If you have, like I have, then you'd know this in itself is a death sentence. It can be a miserable, horrible way for someone to die. In situations like these, the loving thing to do is to let the disease take its course, and with malignant brain tumors the only fortunate side of this is that death does come quickly.

If it weren't so blatantly stupid on its face, equating a personal and family decision in a circumstance like this to murder would be about the most offensive thing you could say to anyone who experienced a situation such as this one. You can reply if you like, but I'm not going to bother responding to you.

There is no more miserable, horrible way to die than to be dehydrated to death. It is quite literally torture of the worst sort.

She was not killed by the brain tumor. She was killed by those who were charged by God and by everything we call civilized with taking care of her.

a personal and family decision

You have no right to make such a "decision." And the fact that you think you do is offensive.

You've been here twelve years and you don't know that this is a pro-life website, one that stands for the unalienable right to life?

Good question. I have some serious doubts.

I have a section on my profile page which addresses the percentage of people who are starved and dehydrated to death annually. It’s a shockingly large number. For every one of those people, I wonder how many perpetrators are involved. And who are these people who routinely kill off those victims? I guess with that many people involved, we shouldn’t be surprised when we cross paths with one or more of them, but I will never get used to seeing them here. Wouldn’t you think Free Republic would be a safe haven away from those kind of people?

If this is such an euphoric way to die, why do we spend millions to execute criminals when we could just starve and dehydrate them into a blissful death? ... Liberalism is a disease in need of eradication beofre it kills the Republic.

One would think.

FR always seems to be particularly infested with unprincipled Republican hacks right before an election. That is certainly the case once again if you look around the various threads.

Liberals claim that conservatives are greedy and heartless. Some of them believe their own rhetoric. So they think their own greed and heartlessness proves they are conservatives. They sign up at the premier conservative news forum, and are truly shocked when we don’t welcome their agenda with open arms.
