I made the mistake of letting my NRA membership expire. Now I'm hounded several times a week to reup. Because of there late night calling several times a week I will not reup. I wish they would just go away. They are a pain in the arse.
They will not take NO for an answer. How can I get them from calling me? I love guns and hunting, but I don't like being hunted.

NRA needs to get it’s act together,this bullshit picking Dems has stopped me from donating to NRA....
I signed up for a free “trial membership” to get a free magazine and I wished I hadn’t. There is no way I was going to renew with the NRA acting this way and they call a couple times a day it seems.
You take a piss, the NRA pisses you off.
I used to donate regularly to the NRA and the NRA-ILA. Then I realized I was funding the beg-o-grams that were flooding my mailbox. The money would have been better spent on mass mailings to NON members. Every dollar I sent seemed to generate about 25 more beg-o-grams.

It seems I get two pleas for money weekly from the NRA, seriously, I support their cause - but not single handedly. I don’t get them, it’s counterproductive. They need to tone it down already.

I let my NRA membership expire when they endorsed “F” rated Chet Edwards for TX-17. Sure. AFTER he was redistricted in 2003 to a more conservative district, he ‘saw the light’ on 2A issues.
For the NRA to endorse a liberal dem that clearly only supports the 2A for political expediency make them an organization antagonistic to the 2A.
This is even more true in that they had a bona fide 2A supporter in Rep challenger Bill Flores.
And. This isn’t nearly the only seat they sold out on.
Maybe I’ll join the GOA.
(The DCCC pulled their funding on Chet - they gotta focus on seats they can win. Na Na Na Na Hey Hey Hey, Goodbye Chet! Enjoy your lobby career.)
I signed up a few years ago after much ill-considered consideration. They started harrassing my a few evenings a week at my unlisted home number with their high pressure tirades. It only ended when I got reall balistic and nasty with them one evening and demanded to be removed from their calling list.
No calls since, but an endless stream of mailings (fire-starting material) and emails (delete). No more money, but I do enter their 21 gun contests without contributing, and if I win I’ll simply consider it my payment for putting up with their harrassing phone calls.
Twerps. And Democrat-backing twerps at that.
