Didn’t she become a liberal activist congresswoman in California?

I thought the banker’s secretary was a hoot on “Beverly Hillbillies.”

The late Nancy Culp, who was indeed a lesbian and hard core lefty.

After the run of the show was over, Nancy returned to her hometown in Pennsylvania in the late '70s. In 1980 she was the Democrat nominee for the US House seat in her district. Buddy Ebson (Uncle Jed) actually cut local TV spots endorsing her Republican opponent. He said he liked her personally, but she was a hard core liberal.

She went down in flames that November.
