Apparently so, I was just reading some of the posts from the link Deaf Smith provided. Excuse my ignorance.

I’ve heard this story for a few years now, but the population seems to have grown.

Really a sad sign of the times.

Oh, my. They use a water cooler for a shower and WHAT for a toilet? Or maybe I don’t want to know.

The parking garage at the Imperial Palace is part of the flood control system. Water flows under the hotel and through the garage before going back under ground. It’s pretty impressive when there is a big storm.

Vegas is doing great.
That’s why they reelected Harry Reid.
Still another reason to stay far away.

Yes it can flood just like the rest of the desert. Flash floods generally. When it does, these tunnels can fill to the top with high speed water. All the people could die, and everyone would blame Bush the next day.

These people are much better off than the ones living on the streets. The Tunnel Trolls at least have a roof over their heads, and a place that afford a bit of safety, None of which can be found on the streets.

I work in LV. Had no idea that the storm drainage system was inhabited. We had epic thunderstorms two weeks ago. Every intersection on the west side (Jones Blvd.) was flooded. I imagine alot of the flow came through these structures; out to Lake Las Vegas.

Don’t exactly look like the picture of health. I noticed a cheap respiratory mask next to the bed. I can’t believe this life is better than surface life.
