Not sure how many actually starved. If they could get at each other, some were eaten by others....”sui”-cide, if you will. Concerned about the cruelty? Well...I’m not one to wring my hands after the fact, and certainly not one to relish locking these people up and watching them starve. If they committed a crime, prosecute.
