When I think of REO, I think of that scene in Billy Madison, where he goes back to High School, wearing an REO Speedwagon T-Shirt, thinking that all the high school students liked them.
And they just laugh at him.

Don’t get me started on Styx, Dennis DeYoung had to be the wimpiest singer ever in the history of rock.

I didn't care much for Styx.

REO t-shirt, driving a Trans Am, and a jean jacket. That was hilarious.

If ever there was a band that gets me to change the channel within the first few notes of any song they play, it’s Journey.

I wouldn’t call Journey soft rock. I think of tepid bands like Bread when I hear that term. Writer should play Wheel in the Sky a few times before making stupid comments.

If you like 70s rock, it's a great flick.

If you want a good 70s Soundtrack, try 'Dazed and Confused.'

I do plenty of bar trivia. Whenever a Glee question shows up I tell the host that the guy who writes the questions should seriously start dating.

It was Jonathan Cain that killed Journey when he came on, he wrote all of those sappy ballads.

I'll check that out, along with getting a copy of the soundtrack to "Pirate Radio". Saw the movie for the first time last week...great flick!

One of my favorite songs. I saw them in ‘83 in OKC.

maybe, but I don't think you can call James Young's guitar work wimpy though (Suite Madam Blue)

Journey? Don’t stop believing? They took one of their songs and integrated w the headline. My, a clever head line.

Well that’s my point, without Dennis DeYoung, Styx might have been tolerable. DeYoung always sounded Super Gay...and it turned out their bass player is gay.

Why would, or should, anyone care in the least what a bunch of high school kids think about what is or isn’t good music? Never saw the movie, btw, if that’s what it was.

REO:

Take It On The Run

I Can’t Fight This Feeling

Keep On Loving You

Don’t Let Him Go

Keep The Fire Burnin’

I do the hard way... tuner/amp that is compatible with an old turntable... and rip to my PC through the line in. Use software to split up songs. A long process.

Did all of my wife's 45s that way. Around 30 of them.

There is software that will remove the pops. You have to be careful, though. Need to know what method it uses. I usually just trim them out.

I saw turntable that has a USB port. Don't know how good it is, though.
