The track, by US soft rock band Journey was first released in 1981.

Nearly 30 years later, downloads of the original song stand at about three million while, according to Journey founder Neal Schon, sales of the version made by the stars of TV series Glee have hit the one billion mark.

"Don't Stop Believin' has just turned out to be a beast, something that we never imagined would happen, and it just keeps going," Schon told BBC News.

I’m a rocker since I was 8 years old. Journey and Boston were absolutely two of the lamest bands in rock genre ever. I always cringed when I heard that crap at the roller rink while in junior high school. Ugh!

If you want a good 70s Soundtrack, try 'Dazed and Confused.

As you can see by my screen name (age), I basically lived that movie. When I first saw it I thought I had went into a time warp to my past. Music, clothes, mannerisms, slang....All down pat.

I liked the earlier stuff like “Riding the Storm Out”. And there’s something to be said for a band who names their album, “You Can Tune a Piano But You Can’t Tuna Fish.” But again they were done in with the soft ballad when Hi-Infidelity came out.

The other movie moment that I associate with REO was the Karaoke scene from Paul Blart: Mall Cop.

Headknocker, Juke Box Hero and Women are my three favorite Foreigner songs.

Of the 3, I'm only familiar with Juke Box Hero. I'll have to check out the other 2 on youtube.

Exactly. Now that was, and still is, real rock n roll. God bless you Ronnie, the best vocalist in rock ever (and Robert Plant of course).

It really did capture 1976, I was living in a small town much like the one in the movie, and that's how it was. And little did we know at the time, but the movie featured a young, Tim Lincecum ;)

I’ve never been a huge Foreigner fan, but, IMHO, Lou Gramm is simply the best rock vocalist I have ever heard.

The problem with iTunes is how scrubbed the music is. Everything is the same volume, vocals, keys, guitar, bass.

In iTunes, you can adjust each song with presets. Right click on the song and click "Get Info" and then click on the "Options" tab. Then under "Equalizer Preset" click on the drop down area and select a preset.

If you want to see what the presets are, go to the menu Window->Equalizer where you can select a preset to see where the controls go, or you can adjust the controls manually.

Separate ways was a pretty good song. Other than that, you’re right.

Homeless.

Speaking of Dazed and Confused, this is absolutely my favorite clip on You Tube. Watch the crowd. I can't figure out if they don't realize whether they are watching history, or are they too stoned to notice.Zep -Dazed and Confused

You’re joking, right? However, it does remind me a bit of Jethro Tull, who I do like.

Yezda Urfa is a little known Prog Rock band that sounds much like Gentle Giant. The vinyl will cost you a couple grand though.

Head Knocker [by Foreigner]

Thanks for the link. First time I heard the song. Probably be my last. :) Seriously, they have much better songs than that.
