Yes, it is.
Was that a good year, or should we be thinking about the Black Death?
Morning. No sparkling morning here. 42 degrees, but will be colder tomorrow. Rain tomorrow and Thursday, with an additional 8”-14” of snow on Mt. Charleston. That makes it close to a hundred inches so far. LOTTA snow!
Which means a lot of snowmelt when it warms up.
Off to Weight Watchers shortly, and Anoreth wants to pick up some exercise clothes at Target. I haven’t seen Bill out of bed yet, so I’ll give him a thump on my way to get dressed ...
The mountains to the northeast of us (Utah and Colorado) will provide the most snowmelt, but the snow on the mountains around here will help a lot.
I love looking at them! But it’s 23 on Mt. Charleston, this morning.
I lost 0.6 lbs., which is statistically irrelevant, but means I didn’t gain any. There were only about 10 people at the meeting today, counting people’s kids, but I expect next Tuesday will be packed. Our leader said the company has been running ads showing Jennifer Hudson, a popular young singer.
"(If I had two dead rats, I'd give you one.)"
Please, keep it. Seriously.
Okay, be that way.
I’ll give it to someone who owns a snake.
Please understand, I live in a state infested with ‘rats. And here even the dead ones vote.
Good Morning. Another Hi-larious photo!!!
I can almost see and feel that. Soul watering. Thanks.
Monty Python, classic Saturday Morning Cartoons, only the best weirdness went in.
It’s what the inside of my head DOES with the stuff that makes what comes out so interesting.
Probably some bizarre portal to another dimension in there that allows ideas and concepts to come through rather than the physicality.
/ kidding.
“Soul watering.”
Anytime I plant souls, they always complain and whine about it.
But I never get a crop.
Probably because I neglected to water them afterwards.
Oh my goodness.
Are you going to need flood insurance?
Fertilizer.
How does one fertilize planted souls?
And how do you get them to stop whining about it while you’re shoveling the dirt onto them?
Afternoon. Grey and gloomy here.
Nope. No flood insurance for me. This place is on a hill, and the complex has good drainage, so the water just keeps going downhill. :o]
The flood control district has done an amazing job, routing the water to the flood channels instead of into the streets where it causes chaos.
There is a six-lane street that goes under a railroad bridge close to downtown Vegas. A quarter of an inch of rain would cause the water to fill up the underpass, and often go over the tracks. That doesn’t happen, now.
And where I live is above the Valley, so it’s all good.
The sidewalks are torn up here, the parking lots are filled with equipment and construction dumpsters, and I’m suffering from ear pollution. I came back from some errands this morning (turned in the plates on MD so I could cancel the insurance) and when I came back, a maintenance truck was parked in the handicapped spot.
I have a real beef with people who do that. And Maintenance knows better. The car I use belongs to an 89 year-old who has a real tough time walking, and I try to park as close to her door as I can get.
I went over to take the plates off, and the guy who is storing it said if he could have gotten it running, he could have sold it for $1000. If he could have gotten it running, I wouldn’t have think of selling it!!
:o])
We have a lot of fertilizer here, but I don’t suppose it would do the plants any good. Most of it just hangs in the air when folks get together...
Such a gloomy, dark day today.
