Maybe because of all the squawking going on, he was pressured into it. That was a rhetorical question...because the answer is obvious. He apologized because he did it deliberately and knew it was wrong.

I was wondering the same thing. Maybe because of all the squawking going on, he was pressured into it. he was ushered from the field before reporters could talk with him... if it were an accident--he would have insisted so... he called it a "mistake." haha! this is unbelievable...
