The fact that he was given a credit or debit card that had a daily transaction limit was absolutely reasonable for a movie set in the seventies. It is even more reasonable considering that the movie is set in 1980. By 1980 ATM machines where at almost every bank.

Deaf Smith:
Maybe in New Yawk during that period.

Even up to 1985, good luck finding a bank premise ATM in west or east Texas. Or even any rural Texas town.

Yeah, here in rural North Calif, we didn't have ATMS until the early 1990s.
