Carolina has the worst record in the NFL. If that holds up, they will get the #1 pick in next year's draft. Presumably that pick will be QB Andrew Luck from Stanford. The Panthers already have a pretty solid running game and a decent defense; their disastrous season can be blamed almost solely on awful play at the quarterback position. If Luck is really the next Peyton Manning (as some have suggested), Carolina could be seriously competitive as early as next season.

I take it the “Jimmy Clausen Experience” is over.
I am no Steeler fan but that was a tough loss on Sunday(they should have beaten the Jets.) This Carolina game won’t even be close.
How can a bad season be good “Luck” to some?

When has Carolina ever developed a quarterback prospect into a MVP type candidate? Luck should hope he gets to another team, unless they change coaching staff in Carolina.
Clausen looked pretty good last Sunday.
IMO he can pass if he is given time but the opponents have blitzed so much he hasn’t been able to show his stuff. And the offensive line hasn’t been able to pick up the blitz.
Being a Miami transplant and old Dolfan, I can’t bring myself to root for the Steelers, or Raiders for that matter, add Patriots too.
Causes friction around here. My wife and in-laws are from the Pittsburgh area.
Well if Carolina is happy with Clausen, then I hope Luck some how falls into the Seahawk’s hands. We need a new QB what with Hasselback getting a little long in the tooth.
My inlaws there, ticket holders, say the game doesn't matter and just too cold. Free or cheap tickets were flying around a lot of offices this week.
