Kutcher fears apocalypse is near

Ashton Kutcher is getting toned and tough - so he can fend for himself and look after his family following an Armageddon-type crisis.

The movie star and producer, who is married to health nut Demi Moore, fears a major U.S. energy meltdown is nigh and he's trying to get superfit so he can deal with the chaos that will follow a blackout or worse.

Kutcher discovered combat training Krav Maga last year as he prepared to tone up for his role in Killers and now he's obsessed with running, Bikram yoga and Muay Thai fighting with the French national champion - and he insists he's committed to his extreme workouts, so he can dominate in desperate times.

The 32 year old tells Men's Fitness magazine, "It will not take much for people to hit the panic button. The amount of convenience that people rely on based on electricity alone. You start taking out electricity and satellites, and people are going to lose their noodle.

"And people are going to go, 'That land's not yours, prove that it's yours,' and the only thing you have to prove it's yours is on an electronic file... People's alarm systems at their homes will no longer work, Neither will our heating, our garbage disposals, hot-water heaters that run on gas but depend on electricity.

"What happens when all our modern conveniences fail? I'm going to be ready to take myself and my family to a safe place where they don't have to worry... All of my physical fitness regimen is completely tailored around the end... I stay fit for no other reason than to save the people I care about."

And he admits he tasted what life could be like after a major national or international calamity when he, Moore and her kids were left without power for 14 hours at their mountain cabin last Christmas.

He adds, "I got my guns out. We made a fire. We went to the grocery store... People were rolling in and out, clearing out all the shelves... It was like a preview."

Good sign? These *****rs in Hollywood brought this to us with their fawning for the Mullah Fuhrer. Ashton bashes conservatives all the time to get a movie part.

Collectively - these people hate Palin and your guts. They would have you gassed before any muslims. I hope they remain clueless cause things are gonna get bad.

Maybe it will be enough to peel the idiots away from their daily brainwashing in HD from the 40” flat screen plasma idiot box for idiots.

If he wants to "dominate in desperate times", he'd be better served to forget about that stuff and get some extra range time...

Actually, the martial arts training will serve him well in the SHTF scenario. It's not because he will be fighting hand-to-hand, although that is possible, but because it will instill a certain amount of toughness and discipline that he will need in tough times, as well as make him physically fit (you don't want to be fat and out of shape when the apocalypse comes). Of course, that all depends on whether he's doing real training, or just the yuppie Mcdojo training. It sounds like he's getting the firearm training in too, so, all in all, I'd have to say well done. Now if he could just stop being retarded.

Ashton Kutcher has always been a male version of a bimbo. Nice for women to look at but once he opens his mouth . . . oh boy.

I have use for this guy either but anything that wakes up idiots like this is IMO a good sign. Look at the various Obama supporters lamenting on making a mistake now. Fact is the policies that are pushingnus off the cliff are starting to grab the attention of the sheeple.

Guns? Did he just admit to his liberal pansy fan base that he actually owns guns? Aren’t guns evil in their minds?

LOL! What a p****. “After 14 hours he went to the grocery store.” A real tough guy. I bet if he was in Florida and a hurricane was coming he would **** ** his pants.

“he’d be better served to forget about that stuff and get some extra range.”

I’m not sure he’s well connected with reality. Sounds like he expects the ‘meltdown’ will entail unrestricted requests for his autograph and cameos. Having to mingle with the unwashed and all. Sounds like his plan is to flex and grin his way through it.

14 hours w/o power!

Ha! Just wait and see what it’s going to be like when everyone runs out of their Prozac, Xanax, etc.

It’s interesting how so many survivalist-minded individuals assume that all fellow-feeling among neighbors will evaporate in a crisis. I was in downtown Manhattan on 9/11, I know people who were caught up in Hurricanes Andrew and Katrina. Some people become selfish predators, most do not - and that majority will make short work of the predators they catch.

Being fit is good, but already having food in storage, or at least having the land, the knowledge, and the means with which to grow their own food, is just as important. Then, being fit will come in handy protecting your family’s food resources from other fit people who didn’t plan ahead, but want to take your stuff.

Well, here’s one Hollywood star blessed with a Distant Early Warning system in his brain, even if it did take nearly two years to install itself in place, starting from the date he and his fellow bimbos did commercials for the Obama campaign.

I really can’t fault him for his statements. Seems like he has the right mind set here.

People laugh this stuff off at their own peril.
