Front loader washing machines have problems with musty odors. That's why there's products on the market for sanitizing FL washers. They get stinky and the smell permeates your clothes. Research it.

New model top loaders can also be HE and spin just as fast as FL, so your clothes need less drying time.

That’s why I leave the door open while the last load goes through the dryer, no problems.

You have to leave the door open on front loaders when not in use!

While spending a week away traveling, we had to use a laundromat twice and got well aquainted with the lady that owned the place.....go top loader unless you can live with the odorous funk factor you get with front loaders, due to the tight seals and mildew, etc.

We're not big fans of stagnant water whiff and mold, regardless of what the home improvement programs tell us...

Yes, and I hate it! I wish I had my top loading back. Plus, the shaking while spinning drives me crazy.
