Good morning. Home now. Only hunt pheasant and quail. No deer. Takes a special license to hunt deer. I'm only a game bird hunter, but thanks for the well wishes and safe travel wishes. I only saw one pheasant the whole time and got 2 shots at him, but missed. The public hunting areas where I hunt are way over hunted.

I did pull in at one place and heard pheasant roosters crowing in the tall grass, probably warning each other. They are very much onto when hunting season starts and ends. It's uncanny. Sure enough they then quit crowing and I walked into the tall thick grass where they were crowing from and they stayed well hidden. So no luck. Season ends tomorrow. Opens again in November.
