Corrie toured and spoke of her amazing time in the consecration camps and the death of her sister that was with her. She told of being at a meeting and a man came to her that was one of the guards at her prison camp and that control over her. She said she was able to forgive him.
It is one thing to do so emotionally or spiritually, but when face to face with a tormentor it was indeed a gift from God for her to be able to do this.
I did not see her personally it was a film of her in an appearance in a church gathering, I was fortunate enough to see. Forgiveness is powerful, it releases the heart from bitterness, and the pain of it. A blessing, indeed.
Corrie Ten Boom was such a beautiful soul! I pray to be a forgiving person, too - but still, there are two I am not able to be so generous with.
The LORD’s Prayer says, “Forgive us our tresspasses as we forgive those who tresspass against us......”. I fear I will not be forgiven without this ability.
I have written several posters, on this situation - but no one seems to have an answer.
How DO we forgive what seems to be ‘unforgivable’?
