Huge Pepsi mistake but for a different reason. It was so blatantly PC that we were left with an impression of an attack not on whites but on people of color i.e., hitting the white gal with the can AND hustling away from her when she was in pain on the ground is demeaning to blacks and Pepsi's perception of their expected behavior.
In today's America, I believe that the black woman would run to the aid of her sister and apologize mentioning that 'guys will be guys.' It would have been a superb moment for race relations and Pepsi.
You might not have noticed the alarming trend of black school age females attacking white females during and after school with some regularity so the assumption that in "today's America" a black woman would offer a hand up to her white sister.
I know and like many black women but in younger women, violence is becoming more prevalent.
