Had a old man I use to work with, when I told him I was moving to California, he said, I almost did that once, on the way I heard Elizabeth Taylor got married, so I turned right around and came back home to Texas.
She was a real looker in the 50s.

I used to love the young Liz Taylor like when she starred in FATHER OF THE BRIDE.

But she lost me as a fan once she hooked up with Michael Jackson, the cosmetically altered child molester.

She'd probably have been eligible again by the time he'd have gotten there.

We hope Elizabeth Taylor’s white diamonds continue to bring her luck.

The 78-year-old icon is currently hospitalized with symptoms caused by congestive heart failure, which she has suffered from for several years, her rep said Friday.

Taylor, who underwent surgery for her condition in 2009, is at Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for the time being and, her reps says, she appreciates her fans’ ongoing support but asks for privacy at this time to let doctors do their thing.

The much-married jewelry lover already made headlines this week for reasons much more up her alley...

“My interview in Bazaar with Kim Kardashian came out!!!” Taylor tweeted Wednesday, heralding the arrival of Harper’s Bazaar’s March issue, in which Kardashian interviewed Taylor (her “idol,” she said) and paid homage to Cleopatra, one of La Liz’s most iconic roles.

“The real Cleopatra had an incredibly complicated life, and she had to be very, very canny to survive as long as she did,” Taylor said. “For me, the most interesting thing about her was her passion. The things that are important to me—being a mother, a businesswoman, an activist—are all things that were born out of great passion.”

The brunette beauties also talked about a love they have in common—Twitter!

“But sometimes I think we know too much about our idols and that spoils the dream,” Taylor said. “So, like all things, it is to be used with care!”

While Taylor tweeted before and after her surgery in 2009, she hasn’t yet provided any personal updates from the hospital this time.

If you Google “Liz Taylor Cup of Gravy”, the first of 150,000 results is a recipe for a passable Chicken Fried Steak and Sage Gravy...

She was a beauty of all times. So wholesome in her childhood movies. She was wonderful in the “National Velvet” with Mickey Rooney, and was great in “Giant” with Rock Hudon and James Dean.

Those purple eyes were to die for.

Too bad her ultra liberalism melted her brain.

I agree that she was a fabulous beauty in her younger days.

One of her husbands, Richard Burton, complained to a scandal sheet that one of her breasts was larger than the other. I thought he needed his head examined.

“I never understood what many people saw in Liz Taylor . Did nothing for me .”

That’s how I have always felt about Grace Kelley.

Sorry for Liz though. Hope she pulls through.

As a not so beautiful woman I’ve always wondered how really beautiful women handle the aging process. It bothers me a little and I’m one who always knew I’d not make a living based on my looks. I imagine it is very difficult to lose those wonderful looks and there’s really nothing that can be done about it. The plastic surgery queens look just plain scary.
