I am not stating these people were not gay, I am not stating that they were definately Bi-sexual. I am making a statement more about my own prejudices than anything else.

Here is my opinion for what it's worth:

I think that there is a VERY SMALL percentage of the population that is somehow "predisposed" to be homosexual. However, even among this group I believe that they only succumb after intensive pressuring by homosexuals.

I believe that there are a lot of people with various emotional conditions (oftentimes brought on by a lifetime of abuse) that result in such a horrible self-image that they are highly susceptible to the advances of homosexuals. However, with proper therapy and counseling these people will find it easy to abandon homosexuality once they rebuild their own sense of self-worth.

Most of what passes for bisexuality is really the same youthful hedonism that prompts young people to experiment with binge drinking and drugs. Most of them, assuming they don't destroy themselves in the process, will outgrow this as they mature and look back on these experiences with disgust.

Your opinion is supported by the scientific evidence.

Some of the rest of this is a rant and is not directed at anybody in particular.

The problem with the vast majority of people weighing in on the subject is they simply do not understand what the scientific evidence really means. And it ticks me off when people think their opinion based on ignorance of the scientific evidence on homosexuality carries any weight. It doesn't and they need to get over it and educate themselves.

Just because a very small percentage of the population can be predisposed to homosexuality DOES NOT in any way imply this very small percentage of the population will be attracted to the same sex. Some of you may want to read that again.

Yes, there is what can be termed a genetic predisposition or component to homosexuality. This doesn't mean what the left and others thinks it means. I'm talking about linkages, traits and associations. You have to understand what this means. You have to understand how little this means.

Are all effeminate men gay? No. There are actually more effeminate heterosexuals than homosexuals. Just because a young boy likes to play with dolls does not in any way imply he will grow up to have an attraction to the same sex. Just because a boy may like the finer things in life, be sensitive, intelligent, effeminate, left handed or whatever, does not mean he will grow up to have an attraction to the same sex.

To confuse you even more, there is no evidence homosexuality (same-sex attraction) is genetic. But what about linkages, traits and associations you may ask? Well, they don't support what many think they support. Same-sex attraction is not innate.

Every single scientific study that's been used to support the born that way theory has been debunked. Sometimes reporters will purposely twist the information to fit their bias. Every single credible scientific study supports environment as a major factor in determining our sexuality. The environment in which we are raised is not a minor factor, it's a major factor.

How is this for confusing... it's easier to become gay in California than in Oklahoma. Well, maybe that's not so confusing.
