They have a free version but it will block you from most sites...so you either uninstall it or you have to buy their upgrade. I’d be very careful with that program. I had lots of problems with it...

Running a deep norton scan right now. I’ll get it straightened out.

First time I’ve had any issues with Firefox.

I don’t have any problem at all with their free version.

I’ve been running it for over a year. No blocks of any kind and automatic updates on the definitions.

Make sure it’s MALWARE BYTES and not ANTI-MALWARE..

Totally different thing.

Malwarebytes does *not* have to be run from safe mode. If it finds something that needs that lowlevel access, it will ask you to boot and then run from boot.

The only diff between freeware version and registered, is the freeware doesn’t run as a constant background process.

And some malware will try to keep you off of known malwarebytes sites. Malwarebytes is very good for one-shot problems, but maybe not so good for a background process/constant antivirus.

For an antivirus that is small, extremely effective, free and fast, get Avast.
