If I were a juror on a case like this, and the camera came up missing, that’s an automatic acquittal.

The founder of Orlando’s CopWatch was arrested recently after he simulated sexual acts on an Orlando police car on Church Street.
Officers arrested John Kurtz, 27, on a disorderly conduct charge after he made hip thrusting movements on a parked patrol car and refused to leave when officers asked him to do so on Nov. 13.
A crowd of onlookers, including other members of CopWatch — a police monitoring group — watched Kurtz as he made sexual movements on the car. When officers approached Kurtz, a CopWatch member began filming the interaction.
Officers asked Kurtz and the crowd to leave, but the group began yelling obscenities and refused to leave the area, according to a police report.
“They were inappropriately aggressive and appeared to have the desire to start a police related incident on camera,” the report states.
Kurtz began shouting at the officer and refused again to leave. An officer then arrested Kurtz for disorderly conduct.
While an officer searched him, Kurtz yelled “Go ahead! Throw me down and break my neck! Is this where you beat me up?” the report states.
Kurtz then claimed to have marijuana and money from selling drugs in his pockets, told the male officer he found him attractive, and then made sexual advances toward the officer, according to the report.
Several CopWatch members videotaped the incident.

This miserable little punk had his fellow cop-watch punks filming the police. So his buddies should have exculpatory evidence if there is such a thing. Which I doubt. Here's hoping he gets sent to prison for a while
I agree with you. If the guy had just backed off he could still have used his camera, but he had to push the cop and that is what got him in trouble.
It amazes me the number of cop haters who post here and ignore the facts in the articles to scream and yell about how bad cops are. Makes me wonder how many FR posters are ex cons or maybe currently serving cons. Sure are a lot of cop haters on here for being a conservative site.

OPD has mostly Impalas ,, some Crown Vics ... I haven’t seen them with a Charger yet... The FHP has Chargers ,, and I’ll be buying one in about 4-5 years when they come up for auction.

True story. The sheriff and some deputies were out in the county investigating reports of stolen cattle. Lo and behold, the sheriff’s sons show up driving a pickup towing an empty horse trailer. Sheriff says, “You boys get outta here! We’re trying to catch some cattle rustlers!”
Things like “A Vietnamese student in California has been paid US$90,000 in compensation for being violently beaten up by police officers two years ago,” and cops constantly shooting dogs for no good reason, SWAT teams who can’t read a city map are the types of things that agitate FReepers because these things happen to common citizens. That and corruption are the two things that bite my butt because I am paying them too much (IMO) for a job they took voluntarily.

I make no value judgement on the veracity of the cop or the videographer. I simply state that the headline is misleading.

No, our crime rates are very low. That’s the result of departments becoming top heavy because of too many promotions.
