One day after San Diego Police Chief William Lansdowne apologized for recent police misconduct, a San Diego police officer has been arrested for allegedly raping a woman and forcing her to perform sexual acts, according to police.
Well I can tell you Im extremely angry and Im working hard to keep that anger under control, said Lansdowne Wednesday afternoon. A 34-year-old woman claims she was raped and forced to orally copulate officer Daniel Dana, 26, while he was on-duty, according to police.
Sources within the police department say the woman is a prostitute.

So does her being a prostitute make it not a problem for an officer to have raped her?
But I thought all police officers were our friends, who are here to protect us...
This is but one of a long list of recently indicted and accused SDPD officers. I hate to say it because I am a strong supporter of police but the chief needs to go through his roster of officers and administrators and clean house.
“Sources within the (SD) police department say the woman is a prostitute.”
What difference does that statement make? The police are to uphold the law, they are there to protect and serve. A few good officers should take this youngster out to the woodshed and teach him how he is to respect those that are weaker than him. And if that don’t work a piece of rubber hose or a SD phone upside the head a few times, until he understands the meaning of discipline.
SD police murdered that young woman on the freeway a while back, or was it the CHP?
Don't have sex on duty and especially don't have sex with prostitutes while on duty
That’s exactly my point/question. What difference did it make if she was a prostitute or not? Because of what she chose to do to make money, that cop could force her to do whatever he wanted?
