UPDATE HERE:

http://www.baldwincountynow.com/articles/2011/05/21/local_news/doc4dd7edbeac905585537483.txt

Naturally the cops have released their version of events. Naturally they blame the old man.

Who is 84 YEARS OLD, for crying out loud.

They need to release that tape then. If the events on the tape differ substantially from the account in the original "Courthouse News" article, and show the elderly man interfering with the officer rendering aid to injured parties in the accident, then I am willing to give the benefit of the doubt to the officer.

So if they are “vindicated” by the tapes, why are they seeking a settlement? The man’s lucky he AND his wife weren’t shot where they stood/sat.

Police spokesman said the cops vehicle camera recorded the entire incident. If true, that will settle things. But I would think the attorney representing the plaintiff would have viewed the video and advised his client to NOT file charges, if the lawyer is HONEST and the cop did nothing wrong. BE interesting to see the outcome of this.

Naturally the cops have released their version of events.

Which are contradictory. They claim "absolutely no abuse" but then say in the same breath that the accused officer was the one who called for medical assistance to Henderson. If there was no abuse, exactly how did Henderson get in such a way that immediate emergency medical care was somehow needed?

And do they have motorized camera mounts in the car that track the officer's movements? The beat down allegedly took place in Henderson's driveway yet they say that the camera in the squad car exonerates their hero. Did the camera somehow show Henderson tearing his own rotator cuff, smashing his own face into the driveway and bruising himself on the neck, head and back or did some other thugs come by? How do they dismiss the 911 call by Henderson's incapacitated wife? If a orderly LEO is on the scene, why call 911 again to report a beat-down?

In view of the Indiana Supreme Court's decision that somehow illegal B&E by rogue officers can be remedied in court - it is pretty damned obvious that there is no justice and that the officer's employers are highly motivated to perjure themselves and blame the vic in their kangaroo courts

Press stated that an in-car camera in Scott’s vehicle had recorded the incident, which was reviewed by an investigator and supervisors at the department, including by Press.

Well, let's see it then
