It's great news for cheese and butter fans - scientists have found that eating dairy food doesn't increase your risk of a heart attack. Nutritionists surveyed thousands of middle-aged people and found that even those who ate more than half a kilo of cheese did not seem to suffer from increased risk. Contrary to earlier beliefs that saturated fat might lead to a heart attack, researchers found that nutrients in dairy products actually counteract the harmful effects.

Coffee will cause heart attacks, no it prevents cancer.

Coconut oil causes bad hearts, oppps, wrong again.

Salt is bad, no, salt is good.

Dairy is bad, no, dairy is good.

All bullshit.

OK, I need to know this. A kilogram = 2.20462262 pounds. A half kilo is 1.1 pound. Or about 18 ounces.

(Thanks google)

Whew. Since I rarely eat more than 12 ounces of cheese at one time... I’m good.

OK, I just called Vegas, and they have the Over/Under on this story being refuted in some medical journal in 3.5 years.

Any bettors out there on it being before/after that time?

This will make the health busybodies at the Center for Science in the Public Interest very angry. They want everyone to live on buckwheat groats.

Actually, I’m pretty sure that’s bad for you. No matter how much (or little) of it you eat... Don’t do it.

My maternal grandparents ate...butter, bacon, eggs, fried everything, red meat, more red meat, fatty meat, cakes, cookies, pies, whole milk, ice cream and tons of other goodies and stayed on Earth until aged 96 and 94. Good genes and a good attitude counts for a lot.

Of course it doesn’t. No sugar or even worse, HFCS in it.

I’ve been saying this about butter for decades and only my wife has ever listened to me. Now I can prove it.

It’s common sense.

Duh. Dr. Atkins knew this years ago. I’ve been eating low carbs for 11 years. My diet includes butter, cheese, meat, bacon, eggs, steak and I lost 20 lbs and lowered my cholesterol.
