tell me that this wasn't a coordinated event...kind of like a national "flash mob"

I sent your link to Drudge, since his site was highlighting all the incidents. May be a coincidence ,but he changed the postings.

I’m not faulting you but I reject categorically any excuse-making or complaint by police commanders and government types.

These are the same entities that find heaps of time and manpower to conduct East German style ‘safety’ checkpoints with twee slogans like Click It Or Ticket. There is no shortage of state police cruisers running Radar/Lidar looking for scofflaw ‘speeders’ doing 5 mph above an artificially low limit - later these same cruisers can be seen tooling up the Interstate at 95 mph while they chatter away on mobile phones. So much for speed kills.

Anyone who has attended a major sporting event, state fair, etc. has seen the vast numbers of police vehicles and personnel. Granted they have advance notice of such events but the equipment and manpower are still there, they simply need to be mobilized (the phones mentioned above would come in handy). Allowing feral animals of any race, religion, creed etc. to run riot is unacceptable as is allowing officials to offer up lame excuses. Any 21st century large police force - city, county or state - that does not monitor social media for possible flash mobs, violence and criminal damage is derelict in its duty.

I agree with you.

Police have more resources and technology than they have ever had, but they have failed to adapt their tactics to modern conditions.

The fact that the game is changing is not an excuse for ineffective policing.

There will be only one way to restore order and it will result in more disorder. Each time the answer must be the same until lawfulness is restored.

There aren’t enough jails to handle the problem and not enough money to operate the jails.

And the recent onslaught of warrant-less searches being “justified,” was an opening salvo from the judicial system.

I just think many of them are suffering VERY much economically, have no employment — no HOPES of advancing themselves ...AND they are emboldened by this administration. All of that and they know damn well they can get away with it now. Nothing will happen, especially if they are in large groups.

We are in for a rough time here — I prefer to stay far away, and stay armed.

Remember hearing, “Idle hands are the devils workplace”? There’s absolute truth to that. If it weren’t true, section 8 housing developments would be the safest neighborhoods in America. Give people food, housing and a little spending cash instead of making them work to sustain themselves and you end up with people who are bored and looking for something to do. That something doesn’t usually turn out to be productive.

Like you, flowerplough - I've known smart, hard working honest black people. But Holder has made a point of being biased and siding with 'his' group. That's an embarrassment to your former boss - and an embarrassment to the kind of white people I respect. A liberal who turns away from that kind of racism is no different than the old white members of southern 'citizens councils'.

If a white person got in office and decided that 'his' people - the ones he represented - were ONLY white Americans - not ALL Americans I wouldn't like it any better. And the headline could read the same.

Holder has defined himself as prejudiced and racist - we're just passing his truth about himself on...

The whole thing is a powder keg just waiting on a match.

Like stories I’ve heard of the Detroit riots in ‘68.
The burning and looting got out as far as 6 Mile Rd.
The city border is at 8 Mile. Beyond that white suburbanites had armed themselves and were waiting...

I think they may be getting some help organizing and encouragement from some "community organizers".

They're showing us what we can expect a whole lot more of if Obama doesn't get re-elected.

Ha....I have an NFA trust, and my wife now wants to carry one of my post-86 MP5s. However she does have a SBR and SBS in her trunk...should be more than adequate for her needs, but she is thinking “rock and roll” time is around the corner.
