Did you possibly get a 64 bit laptop? The regular version of Flash Player plug-in doesn’t work with it. You can search on Adobe’s website for the 64 bit plugin.

Greeaat. How do I uninstall all the Adobe crap I downloaded before I found this out?

My laptop is 64 bit. I have both 32 bit and 64 bit IE installed. I also have 3 different versions of Adobe Flash Player installed. Doesn’t seem to cause any conflicts. One is labelled as a “plug in” but that isn’t the one Firefox claims it is using.

I clicked on the “Firefox” tab at the top of the browser, went to Add-ons, clicked on that and it shows you what is installed for Firefox. It shows “shockwave flash” 10.3.181.22 and it works fine.
