What a good mother to expose her children to all the wonderful people she has. Yay, let’s hear it for her wonderful parenting skills. Those poor little girls.

Unfortunately her daughters are seeing the nicest of isolated areas of the countries they are in. So whatever impressions are made on these girls will be at best those sheltered from the realities of the countries they visit.

For the most part Africa is not a country with kids dancing behind gated communities with full bellies. Rather history has not changed the outer landscape of famine and war, which regardless of how many foreigners visit, nor the trillions of dollars invested in it, has not changed the overall life of most Africans who live in poverty, fear and hunger and tribal wars.
