I tried Irish Spring, but kept waking up and doing a jig.

For muscle cramps I take Natural Calm with Calcium. It’s a magnesium suppliment, tastes good, you mix it in water and the relief is almost instant.

Had the same problem. Tonic water works for me. Especially if it fortified with ... something. sd

[Eat a Banana!!]

I’ve tried that, but it seems to bring them on! Still, my experiments have been a little sloppy. What I do know is that it is diet related and potassium related no doubt.

Drinking more water which, ultimately means getting more magnesium (mag is in unfiltered water). Magnesium deficiency causes leg cramps.

I get the infrequently. I have heard of the soap treatment. I was told to rub soap on my body..anywhere I felt pain. Incredibly, it cut the pain and leg cramps.

My wife and I decided we needed to spice things up and vowed to do every sex position in the Kama Sutra. I got leg cramps when doing the Kama Sutra position 45. We skipped over it to 46 when owwwwww owwwww ruined the mood.

Hhhhhmm, maybe that's why my leg cramps went away. I take that too. Great for the nervous system.

What worked best for me was to drink more water.

Bingo!

If I neglect to drink a goodly amount of water from supper to turn-in, my calves remind me on my folly between two and three-thirty...every time! It says right here, that really hurts!

Yup... a trip to rotten ronnies for french fries. Potato has more potassium than banana as baked. I don’t know about salt but fires without salt are boring.

Water is also very helpful if you don’t consume enough. Dehydration will bring on cramps. I know water pushes my cramps off.

Potassium gluconate. Take one or two tablets before bed. It works for me. You can buy it in almost any pharmacy.

Thanks to all who have adviced ME how to cure the problem of leg cramps.

I have already found it.

BTW, I have regular checkups and ALL my Potassium levels etc. are good.

I was trying to help some of you who don’t want to spend a lot of money on perscription drugs and doctor visits.

This helped me and cost maybe .30 cents.

Same here.

Starting getting leg cramps as I recovered from a thyroidectomy. Doctor suggested cup of orange juice blended with 1/2 banana 1-2 hours before going to bed or whenever I get a leg cramp. It works.

Don’t do it often anymore since my thyroxine, exercise, and food choices are in sync.

To finish you post...Quinine and tonic water contains very little of it and pharmacy’s aren’t allowed to sell it anymore.

Get your iron checked if you have leg cramps. That is one of the symptoms of anemia.

It won’t cost you but a few cents to try the soap treatment if it happens again.
