It sounds like you may have Restless Leg Syndrome. The soap in bed remedy is an old home remedy for RLS. RLS is caused by a magnesium deficiency. Go to the drugstore and buy a Calcium, Magnesium & Zinc Combo supplement. The one I use is made by Finest Natural (at Walgreens). The breakdown is Cal 333mg, Mag 133mg and Zinc 5mg. The combo of the three assists in absorption of the Magnesium. Straight Mag does not do as good a job, and will give you wicked gas. I take 6 as needed (when my legs are restless) and get immediate relief. Within short time (20-40 minutes) my symptoms disappear. When I first started taking this I needed nightly for about a week. Now I only take it when I get that feeling, which is only about once a week. Also if you take it with water it will act faster. Good luck!

Thank you for the advice.
I don’t have RLS and my bi- annual check ups show no abnormal levels with anything. When a person gets to 72, all kinds of crappy stuff starts to happen.
I’m glad your remedy works for you, a .30 cent bar of soap works for me, old home remedy or not.
