Okay, good to hear. I’m doing the right thing then. Boy those leg cramps are miserable. My husband also suggested that I stretch out my calves before retiring (you know, lean towards a door with flat feet on the ground a couple three feet out) and do a few push-ups against the door. I think that’s beneficial too.
BTW, there is no pain worse than getting a leg cramp while stretching your calves. YOW!
When I get leg cramps, I utter some permutation of, "Yikes!" This irritates the wife no end because we both arise around 5 AM.
My remedy is something...anything...such as placing my feet flat and leaning forward...anything at all that forces the legs into that position...along with a sincere promise to drink more water tomorrow evening.
My problem is the wife gets bent out of shape when I utter the slightest scream of agony. I have to remind her that it isn't my fault that I neglected to sip a few pints of water.
