A teacher with a savings account doesn’t have as deep of pockets as the Catholic Church.
The school districts and teachers’ unions need to be sued.
Good point.
These are similar positions of trust, and while some teachers and staff are proactive at observing the tell-tales and stopping out these situations before they cross the line, the general amorality of modern secular education, combined with the current fad of not judging others in these matters (note that judgmentalism is still as strong as ever, it just is applied to faddish and socially destructive PC themes), means that modern sexual predator teachers have the kind of unchecked, beyond suspicion access to prey that priests are given by the most religious.
Maybe suits against districts and unions are the proper reaction. At the least it would help allow education alternatives to get started, by tying down the unions in lawfare.
