Hang in there 2ndDiv! You are one of the very best Freepers, you always have stuff posted when I have insomnia.
But, maybe I better be missing you in the wee hours, you need to GET YOUR REST and TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!
But, I must say this, be optimistic, those drugs are really wonder drugs. Hubby had a brush with some bad news like this about 1 1/2 years ago, blood sugar awful, blood pressure through the roof, etc.
The drugs got his numbers improved pdq.
I read the “South Beach” diet book and the author (sorry, can’t remember his name right now, but he is an MD) said that the anti-cholesterol drugs were amoung the greatest drugs ever developed. That the diet needed to really bring down cholesterol was so awful nobody could really stand to be on it, and the drugs work pretty much miracles.
