I have never understood why she didnt just make her defense that Caylee and she were going for a swim. The phone rang and she went to get it it, came out and Caylee was dead in the pool. She panicked and knew she would get blamed and made the rest up.
I don’t think so. This is an excerpt from the 2nd interview with Casey. This is the investigator speaking. I think she latched onto this and decided to run with it:
1 There’s nothing you’re gonna tell any of the three of us that’s gonna surprise us
2 okay.
3 A Uh-huh. (Affirmative)
4 Q I’ve had to sit down with..with mother;s who rolled over their babies accidentally.
5 I’ve had to sit down with mothers whose kids have drowned in swimming pools.
6 I’ve had to sit down with mothers who had boyfriends who beat their kids to
7 death. Ah, you know who..who felt horrible about what happened. And then try,
8 and I had to go to them and help them try to explain to their families okay. And
9 then I’ve also had to deal with people who have done horrible, unspeakable
10 things to children. And then lied about it and lied about it and lied about it okay.

Thanks for that link. It’s not one I’ve run across yet. Aren’t we all going blind from looking these things up? Maybe not blind but surely a little bit nutty! Well, to each his own, I say. It’s like a good book.....
If you read the whole interview you find that Casey left the car there out of gas for three days before it was towed. George told the Impound manager the car was there for 3 days before it was towed. How could he have known? He testified the first time he found out about the car was in a notice in the mail. The notice did not say when the car was first left there. He never talked to anyone at Amscott, that is also in sworn testimony. How did he know it was out of gas? He brought gas with him. All who think George is innocent please explain this. This is all sworn testimony.
