Doesn’t matter. They told you in advance that they were going away for the weekend and you still allowed them to take your dog. You could have said, ‘never mind, we’ll find someone else or a kennel.’ But, you didn’t. You chose to let them take your dog, anyway.
They are probably on vacation which is why they didn’t want to say where they were. Ohio has Cedar Point, Rock n Roll Hall of Fame and other points of interest.
Your dog is probably fine, but all of your relationships in this most likely will never be the same.
