Fudgy Brownies
Recipe courtesy of my godmother
4 eggs
2 cups sugar
½ tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
2/3 cup butter
5 tbsp cocoa
1 ½ cup flour
2 cups chopped walnuts or pecans
DO NOT BEAT.
Beating introduces air into the batter, and results in dry brownies
Beat eggs lightly with spoon.
Stir in sugar, salt, and vanilla
Stir in shortening and chocolate
Stir in flour and nuts
Pour batter into greased 9x13 glass baking dish (or line pan with parchment paper)
Bake at 325° 30-35 minutes
