I know people who claim they don’t read the newspapers or watch the evening news. They know nothing about news, politics or their own communities.

I know people like that too. Worse yet, I know people who watch MSNBC & CNN. They don't know anything either, although they think they know it all.

Those are the most dangerous type of juror. When I was waiting in the Jury Assembly room in my town I overheard a guy talking to a friend of his. He said, “I am not going to find anyone guilty. I don’t want to send anyone to jail.” My first thought was to turn around and spit him in the face, but I didn’t want to get into trouble. I wonder if Casey Anthony had any of those types on her jury?
