Here are my two MTV memories:

First I lived in Brooklyn, the last place in NYC to be wired for cable, I mean it was 1985 and we didn’t have our MTV!

Second-I always thought MTV was better on the pro-life issue than any of the major MSMers, and on all politics, in fact. MTV would find young, good looking conservatives and put them on the air. The rest of the MSM would cut their throats before they’d do that.

My brother (very handsome!) was interviewed by MTV as we protested the dem convention when it was in NYC in 1992, when Clinton was nominated. One of his friends saw him on TV and my brother called MTV to find out if there was any way to get a copy of the show. And, amazingly, they messengered him a free copy.

So, MTV’s always been kind of OK by me.

Whoa!

I also got MTV for the first time in 1985, but I lived in a small town in Maine. I never would have dreamed at the time that there were still people in NYC who couldn't get cable!
