OK—I don’t know the whole story, but if DeMint and Paul both voted a certain way, I am certainly giving them the benefit of a doubt until I understand it better.
As I understand the “rules” of the game in the Senate, if you vote against a bill that fails to pass, you can call it back up again later and call for a revote.
That may have been the strategy. Don’t know.
